In 2003 there were over 302,000 surgical and non-surgical cosmetic
enhancements performed in Canada. An increase of nearly 60,000
procedures or 24.6% from 2002.

Injectable fillers such as bovine collagen were used by 42,000 patients
in 2003, a 23% increase from the previous year.

The number of patients having non-surgical facelift procedures grew
dramatically in 2003 to 17,628 patients as practitioner availability grew
by 325%.

Geographically the survey is lead by Ontario having 42% of cosmetic
procedures performed in the province, followed by British Columbia
at 26%, Alberta with 11%, and the rest of Canada with a combined 20%.
